Job summary

Hawkins, Inc. is seeking a Technical Application Specialist to support and grow our water treatment business across industrial and municipal markets.

The TAS will perform on-site product evaluations, lead plant trials, and translate technical data into practical solutions that improve system performance. The role combines technical expertise, fieldwork, and sales support, requiring strong communication, autonomous work style, and valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience required; degree in Biology, Chemistry or Engineering preferred.
• Previous sales experience preferred.
• Strong math and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports water treatment chemical sales efforts for industrial and municipal markets.
• Conducts on-site product testing and selection for water treatment applications.
• Performs coagulation studies for potable water products.
• Conducts wastewater product selection studies for municipal and industrial clarification.
• Leads plant trials and makes treatment recommendations for potable and wastewater systems.
• Assists in developing new products and applications for Hawkins, Inc. products and services.
• Toubleshoots customer treatment systems and recommends performance improvements.
