Job summary

Edwards Vacuum, Chandler, AZ, seeks a Technical Specialist to drive new product introductions, transfers, and sustainment at the Chandler Service Technology Center. You will enable safe, efficient service, remanufacturing, testing, and manufacturing through training, technical excellence, and collaboration with engineering and global teams.

The role demands deep vacuum pump knowledge, hands-on troubleshooting, and the ability to develop workforce competencies while leading training initiatives

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in the assembly, maintenance, repair, testing, remanufacturing, or operation of Edwards vacuum pumps or related equipment.
• Proficient with SAP, MS Office, and internet applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and SOPs.
• Self-motivated with a customer-focused mindset and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resources to provide technical assistance and product training across the Service Technology Center.
• Ensure compliance with training plans, SOPs, and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain training compliance reports and communicate performance issues to management.
• Promote safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as technical authority to production and support functions.
• Apply engineering methods to resolve complex technical/manufacturing issues.
• Maintain knowledge of vacuum pump products and service procedures.
• Support engineering projects related to servicing and remanufacturing.
• Assess training needs and deliver or coordinate programs.
• Conduct new employee training on work practices and safety.
• Maintain training records per global requirements.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through competencies and audits.
• Provide technical support to Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Support Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.
