Job summary

Raymond West is seeking a skilled Technical Trainer to educate our technicians and other workgroups. This role will conduct classroom and on-the-job training, ensuring employees are competent to meet customer expectations and safety standards.

Responsibilities include scheduling courses, maintaining certifications, and assisting with course material updates. Travel up to 50% may be required, with a focus on practical, hands-on instruction and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate technician training in classroom and on-the-job settings.
• Manage course schedule, classroom needs, and student engagement.
• Assess and test competence of employees in performing tasks.
• Maintain training certifications and up-to-date subject matter expertise.
• Coordinate training delivery needs such as reserving classrooms and issuing materials.
• Complete administrative tasks like travel bookings and evaluations.
• Participate in course material revisions and new training development.
• Research and design training programs and update existing ones.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning across units.
• Serve as a role model for Raymond West staff.
