Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to deliver manufacturer and MSHA safety training, and develop hands-on instruction for service technicians and customers.

The role requires five years in heavy equipment repair, broad knowledge of engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and strong classroom and field-training skills. This safety-sensitive position travels extensively to branches and technical schools.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of technical/heavy equipment repair experience required.
• Proficient knowledge of engines, powertrains, hydraulics, electrical, and braking systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications.
• Ability to frequently travel to other branches, technical schools, and events.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and supports Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal.
• Acts as product expert to provide training to service technicians and customers on repair and maintenance of equipment, including Wirtgen products and other lines.
• Provides product and manufacturer training.
• Develops and delivers hands-on training in a classroom setting.
• Develops training materials and practices that support productive adult learning.
• Delivers aerial platform safety training for rental and service personnel.
• Provides MSHA safety training for service, sales, and Product Support Reps.
• Travels to branches to provide training (70% or more).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
