Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Technical Trainer to lead technical and safety training for service techs and customers. You will develop hands-on classroom sessions, deliver product and manufacturer training, and create engaging training materials aligned with adult learning principles.

The role requires MSHA and OSHA safety instruction, strong interpersonal communication, and extensive travel to multiple branches to ensure on-site and remote knowledge transfer across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Five years of technical/heavy equipment repair experience required.
• Proficient knowledge of engines, powertrains, hydraulics, electrical, and braking systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and various web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide and participate in technical training for service technicians and customers.
• Develop and deliver hands-on training in classroom settings.
• Travel to branches to deliver training (70%+).
• Create training materials and methods for productive adult learning.
• Deliver MSHA/OSHA safety training as requested.
