Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Technical Trainer to deliver hands-on and classroom training across branches, covering engines, powertrains, hydraulics, and safety topics for service technicians and customers.

You will develop training materials, provide MSHA and OSHA safety training, and travel to branches 70% or more to support teams. Experience with Wirtgen equipment is a plus. This role offers growth within a family-owned, safety-focused company.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of Technical/Heavy Equipment Repair Experience required.
• Proficient knowledge of Engines, Powertrains, Hydraulics, Electrical, and Braking Systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications.
• Ability to frequently travel to other branches, technical schools, and events.
• Exceptional Interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Communicates Kirby Smith vision and core values; acts as product expert for training on equipment including Wirtgen and other lines.
• Provides product and manufacturer training to service technicians and customers.
• Develops and delivers hands-on training in a classroom setting.
• Develops training materials and practices to support productive adult learning.
• Delivers aerial platform safety training for rental and service personnel.
• Provides MSHA Safety Training for service, sales, and Product Support Reps.
• Supplies OSHA Certified safety training for customers as requested.
• Travels 70% or more to each branch to provide training.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance.
