Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Technical Trainer to provide and participate in technical training, including manufacturers training and MSHA Safety Training. The role requires delivering hands-on and classroom sessions, developing materials, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Travel will be 70% or more to various branches and technical schools. The position emphasizes product knowledge across Wirtgen and other equipment lines, with a focus on proper repair and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of technical/heavy equipment repair experience.
• Proficient knowledge of engines, powertrains, hydraulics, electrical, and braking systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and various web-based applications.
• Ability to travel to other branches, technical schools, and events.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide and participate in technical training for service technicians and customers, including manufacturer and MSHA safety training.
• Develop and deliver hands-on training in classroom settings.
• Create training materials and adult learning practices.
• Deliver OSHA-certified safety training for customers as requested.
• Travel to multiple branches (70% or more) to provide training.
• Support Kirby Smith vision and core values in training programs.
