Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. seeks a Technical Trainer to lead hands-on and classroom training for service technicians and customers on a wide range of equipment, including Wirtgen products.

You will develop training materials and deliver product and safety training. This Safety-Sensitive role requires five years of heavy equipment repair experience, travel to multiple branches (70%+), and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of technical/heavy equipment repair experience.
• Proficient with engines, powertrains, hydraulics, electrical, and braking systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and various web-based applications.
• Frequent travel to other branches, technical schools and events.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and supports Kirby Smith's vision and values.
• Acts as product expert to train service technicians and customers on equipment, including Wirtgen products.
• Provides product and manufacturer training.
• Develops and delivers hands-on and classroom training.
• Creates training materials and practices for adult learning.
• Delivers aerial platform safety training for staff and customers.
• Provides MSHA Safety Training for personnel and reps.
• Provides OSHA certified safety training as requested.
• Travels 70% or more to each branch to provide training.
• Performs other duties and maintains on-site attendance.
