Job summary

Raymond West is seeking a skilled Technical Trainer to join our team in California. This role educates and trains technicians and other workgroups, delivering classroom and on-the-job instruction to ensure employees meet customer expectations.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, training experience, and the ability to develop and maintain certifications, with travel up to 50% and a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years forklift/warehouse solutions experience.
• Mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic and/or electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Training experience or certifications preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate technician training in classroom and on-the-job settings per OSHA and vendor standards.
• Manage course schedules, classroom needs, and student engagement.
• Assess and test employee competence in essential tasks.
• Maintain training certifications and SME knowledge of Raymond West products.
• Coordinate training delivery: booking rooms, materials, communications.
• Complete administrative items: travel, expenses, roster, course completions.
• Contribute to course material revisions and new training development.
• Design and update training programs and keep current with tech.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning across business units.
• Model Raymond West values and professional standards.
• Other duties as required.
