Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Workforce Development Trainer to lead the Technical Skills Academy and other development programs for service and construction employees. The role requires travel approximately 50-75% of the time to support nationwide initiatives.

You will create engaging content, support apprenticeship and entry-level programs, and build strong ties with technical schools across the US to develop the next generation of skilled technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of adult learning theories and L&D best practices.
• Experience in front-line roles in residential construction is preferred.
• 10+ years in HVAC, construction, or maintenance.
• Ability to design and develop instructional materials across media.
• Flexibility to deliver training in classroom, virtual, and on-the-job formats.

Responsibilities

• Create training content aligned with best practices.
• Support apprenticeship and entry-level technician programs.
• Develop relationships with technical schools across the US.
• Provide interview, hiring and onboarding support for regional markets.
• Identify and implement skill-based curricula for frontline staff.
• Evaluate and modify training programs to improve learner outcomes.
• Test learning technologies to boost engagement and retention.
• Measure training effectiveness and report on impact.
