Job summary

CoStar Group in Richmond, VA is seeking a Technical Team Lead to guide a cross-functional squad delivering a portfolio of financial web applications. This hands-on leadership role covers design, implementation, and production reliability across React frontend and Node.js/.NET backend, with SOX compliance, audits, and close collaboration with finance, sales and customer service.

The team works in-office Monday–Thursday with Friday work from home, offering strong compensation and growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college/university.
• 5+ years building web applications and 3+ years delivering API-driven systems.
• Proven delivery ownership with strong communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on React, Node.js and C#/.NET production experience with CI/CD in the cloud.
• Advanced SQL Server and T-SQL skills for data quality and performance.
• Experience with API design, versioning and architectural patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of full-stack engineers, including hiring, coaching and career development.
• Own the team’s end-to-end deliverables from scope to on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with product, finance, sales and customer service stakeholders.
• Own architecture across the stack, balancing frontend and backend concerns.
• Stay hands-on in design and implementation across the stack and review code.
• Translate regulatory and audit requirements into scoped engineering work.
• Provide production support, monitoring, incident response and reliability.
• Maintain high engineering standards for testing, CI/CD, observability and security.
