Job summary

ASM in Phoenix seeks a Talent Acquisition Specialist on a 12-month contract to hire across Software, AI/ML, Systems and Hardware engineering.

You will own full-cycle recruitment, build pipelines, travel for campus recruiting (5-6 trips/year), and partner with managers to translate business priorities into sourcing strategies. The role requires a Bachelor's and hands-on experience with technical hiring, strong communication, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• First experience in Talent Acquisition, in-house or agency, with a focus on technical recruitment.
• Experience sourcing and recruiting Software Engineers, AI/ML, Systems Engineers, Hardware Engineers.
• Passionate about direct sourcing and engaging passive talent in competitive markets.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
• Curiosity about technology, engineering and innovation.
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Detail-oriented with recruiting systems, data, and analytics.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with creative talent attraction approaches.
• Willing to travel during campus recruiting seasons (estimated 5-6 trips/year).
• Comfortable working from the office four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruitment for technical roles across Software Engineering, AI/ML, Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering and related disciplines.
• Proactively attract and hire diverse, high-quality talent across all levels - from internships and fixed-term contracts to senior and executive roles.
• Partner with business leaders through regular intake and alignment meetings to translate business priorities into effective sourcing strategies.
• Deliver a consistently high-quality experience for both candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment journey.
• Design and execute creative, out-of-the-box sourcing strategies leveraging platforms, tools, and internal networks.
• Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines to support short-term hiring needs, long-term growth, and succession planning.
• Use data and analytics to guide hiring decisions, identify improvement opportunities, and optimize recruitment outcomes.
• Provide talent market insights, competitor intelligence and best-practice guidance to business leaders and People teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the business, ensuring hiring strategies support broader business objectives.
• Stay closely connected to ASM’s industry landscape, products, and strategic priorities to tailor recruitment approaches accordingly.
• Contribute to global TA initiatives and employer branding activities.
• Leverage ASM’s investment in modern recruitment tools and technologies to work efficiently and at scale.
