Job summary

SunTech Medical, Inc. in Morrisville, NC, seeks a Technical Support Technician to respond to and resolve product support issues for SunTech customers worldwide.

The role focuses on understanding device operation, diagnosing failures, and performing assembly and repairs per procedures and drawings. You'll use test equipment such as a Digital Multimeter and a Variable DC Power Supply, solder using IPC7711/7721 standards, and document customer complaints for CAPA/RMA processes.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree in engineering or technical field or equivalent experience.
• Three+ years in electronics manufacturing.
• Experience soldering to IPC7711/7721 standards.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and research complaints from external customers and report findings to management.
• Understand functional operation of SunTech devices to diagnose non-performance.
• Perform assembly and repairs per procedures and drawings.
• Use test equipment such as a Digital Multimeter and DC power supply.
• Document customer complaints for CAPA and RMAs; maintain clean, safe work area.

Belong to a team where taking initiative, being adaptive, and inquisitive are valued.Technical Support Technician is responsible for responding to and resolving product support issues for all SunTech Medical customers worldwide on all SunTech products. Builds and tests both assembly of new product and repairs as required by specific procedures and drawings.Primary Responsibilities:Investigate and research complaints for external customers and report findings to internal Management teams.Understands the functional operation of our devices to determine causes of non-performance or operational failureMust have ability to work independently and meet deadlinesPerforms assembly and repairs requiring dexterity and use of a variety of hand tools.Performs some electric and soldering assembly.Adjusts, aligns, and fits a variety of component parts to close tolerances.Interprets detailed blueprints, assembly drawings, verbal and written instructions and other documents of similar complexity.Decides on fittings and adjustments of parts in assembly and repair within established guidelines.Understands the functional operation of the instruments to determine causes of non-performance or operational failure.Ability to use electronic test equipment such as a Digital Multi-meter and Variable DC Power SupplyPerform component level troubleshooting and repairs of printed circuit boards;Recipient of Customer complaints and action follow-up, utilizing the SunTech Quality system; this will include the origination of customer complaints, related CAPA’s and related RMA’s.Ensure that a clean, organized, and safe production area is maintainedOther duties as assigned.Physical Requirements:Ability to work in a manufacturing environment/Technical labBeing able to work on your feet for an extended periodAbility to lift 30 lbs.Minimum Qualifications:AA, AS degree in Engineering, technical school, or equivalent experienceSoldering experience with IPC7711/7721 Standard knowledge3+ years working in electronics manufacturing facilityExperience using MS Office SuiteCompetencies:Excellent ability to troubleshoot with a variety of technical and non-technical customersAbility to work under pressure with strict deadlinesAbility to assess problems, recommend appropriate solutions, and implement them.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.If you are passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives, come grow with us!Not the right fit?
