Job summary

Vaisala in Boston, MA is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our Continuous Monitoring Systems support team. You will provide second-line technical support to customers worldwide via phone, email, and remote tools, troubleshooting viewLinc software, hardware, and IT integrations.

You will also deliver remote training, document solutions in the knowledge base, and help improve support processes. A strong IT background and hands-on problem‑solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a tech field and 2+ years of technical support experience.
• Strong IT fundamentals: firewalls, DHCP, AD, remote server administration.
• GxP environment familiarity with IT infra and measurement devices.
• Excellent problem-solving and self-motivation.
• Strong customer relationship and presentation skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex software configuration problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line technical support worldwide via phone, email, and Zoom/Teams; troubleshoot viewLinc software/hardware.
• Plan and deliver remote training sessions; occasional on-site training.
• Document solutions and best practices in the knowledge base; help improve support processes.
• Manage support cases to meet response time, resolution, and KPIs/SLAs.
• Investigate complex issues in software configuration, hardware, and networking; escalate when needed.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical issues.
• Work with pharmaceutical and life sciences customers to address GxP requirements.
