Job summary

Field Fastener is seeking an experienced, results-driven Team Member to join our Technical Team. Based in Machesney Park, IL with opportunities to travel, you will provide product knowledge, troubleshooting, and support across quality, sourcing, account management, operations, and engineering.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical engineering background, hands-on aptitude, and expects to engage with customers and internal teams to drive cost reductions and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a technical role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Experience presenting to customers or stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze problems and develop alternative solutions for results.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal customers on implementations, part creation, sourcing decisions, troubleshooting, and training.
• Support internal production operations with technical guidance as needed.
• Assist external customers with cost-saving recommendations and redesigns of products/assemblies.
• Use testing and machining equipment to resolve issues and provide technical solutions.
• Lead internal technical training and communicate effectively with customers and suppliers.
• Travel up to 25% to support business activities.
