Job summary

Vultr is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our global technical support team. You will provide advanced technical support for Vultr’s cloud infrastructure, serve as an escalation point, and work with customers, system administrators, and engineering teams to diagnose and resolve complex platform issues.

You will also mentor junior staff, contribute to support processes and documentation, and participate in a 24/7 operations environment to ensure reliable, high-quality customer

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise technical support or similar advanced role.
• Strong Linux troubleshooting and command-line usage.
• Understanding of networking concepts for platform issues.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and enterprise environments.
• Excellent customer service and communication, especially under pressure.
• Ability to work independently in a 24/7 operations context.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Knowledge of GPU services and containerized environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical guidance on Vultr products and services.
• Serve as first responder to platform alerts and incidents with advanced troubleshooting.
• Lead incident analysis, root cause investigations, and preventive recommendations.
• Coordinate with sysadmin, engineering, networking teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain internal documentation and support procedures to improve effectiveness.
• Mentor junior team members and support enterprise customer environments.
• Provide escalation support to Technical Support Specialists as needed.
• Contribute to knowledge base and SOP improvements for the team.
• Participate in a 24/7 team-based operations schedule as required.
