Job summary

Vultr is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our global Technical Support team, providing advanced technical support for Vultr’s products and infrastructure, and serving as an escalation point for complex issues while mentoring junior staff.

You will troubleshoot complex issues, coordinate with engineering and IT teams, and contribute to process improvements in a demanding 24/7 operations environment, supporting enterprise customers worldwide.

Qualifications

3+ years in enterprise technical support or similar advanced role.
Strong Linux command-line skills for troubleshooting.
Experience with enterprise networking concepts and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with cloud/IaaS environments and platform issues.
Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical guidance on Vultr products and services, including escalated issues.
Act as a first responder to platform alerts, assess impact, perform advanced troubleshooting, and escalate when needed.
Lead incident analyses, perform root cause investigations, and recommend preventive actions.
Coordinate with system administration, engineering, networking, and other teams to resolve platform issues.
Mentor junior team members and support enterprise customer environments.
