Job summary

INEOS Aromatics in South Carolina seeks a Technical Superintendent to lead operating teams, drive safety and reliability, and oversee process engineering and laboratory activities. You will report to the Operations Manager and champion Life-Saving Rules and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and cost-conscious performance in a dynamic petrochemical setting. Collaboration with site leadership and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Lead development and maintenance of safe operating limits, design envelopes, and relief systems.
• Review, audit, and approve Management of Change (MoC) activities and technical modifications prior to startup.
• Manage day-to-day activities of the Optimization and Laboratory teams, aligning with business and performance objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, compliance, customer service, and cost performance.
• Provide leadership and direction for process engineering resources supporting optimization, reliability, and technical services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site reliability and availability reporting, investigate feed interruptions and non-prime events.
• Ensure contractor and service provider performance meets contractual and operating requirements.
• Lead cost optimization efforts with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term cost-reduction strategies.
