Job summary

INEOS Aromatics in South Carolina seeks a Technical Superintendent to provide leadership for daily plant operations, overseeing Optimization Engineers, Senior Process Engineers, and Laboratory personnel. You will partner with the Operations Manager to drive performance, safety, and reliability across the site.

The role requires guiding teams, enforcing Life-Saving Rules, and delivering continuous improvement initiatives to meet contract targets and business objectives.

Qualifications

• 10-12+ years of progressive experience in chemical manufacturing or related process industries.
• Proven expertise in process engineering, plant optimization, and reliability.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to lead, coach, and drive cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of Life-Saving Rules and safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of safe operating limits and relief designs.
• Review and approve MoC activities and technical modifications.
• Manage Optimization and Laboratory teams and align with objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, compliance, and cost performance.
• Provide leadership for process engineering resources across functions.
• Oversee site reliability reporting and corrective actions for interruptions.
• Ensure contractor performance and vendor compliance.
• Serve as ISO 9001 Internal Auditor and champion QMS improvements.
• Lead cost optimization and long-term reduction strategies.
