Job summary
Pasco County is seeking a Technical Specialist III to perform advanced engineering reviews of roadway, subdivision, and commercial development plans for compliance with the Pasco County Land Development Code. The role involves technical critique of consultant designs, preparation of review comments, and coordination with staff and the public.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field and four years of related experience, plus a Florida driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field with 4 years of related experience.
- Valid Florida driver's license required; professional certifications are a plus (PM, CFM, SWPPP).
Responsibilities
- Review plans, designs, permitting, and specifications for compliance with the Pasco County Land Development Code.
- Provide technical review of engineering design consultant's plans for compliance and prepare review comments.
- Prepare technical reports and supporting documents for DR Committee and Board meetings.
- Conduct field investigations related to land development regulations and permitting.
- Assist staff and public in implementing development regulations and policies.
- Plan, organize, and carry out technical review, field, and administrative activities for land development projects.
- Assist in training new employees in areas of professional expertise.
