Job summary

Acuity Inc. is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to help increase order capture through impeccable service and strong relationships. You will use your technical knowledge and product expertise to convert opportunities into orders, collaborating with the Sr.

Specification Sales Manager to grow the project pipeline. You will serve as the primary pre-sales contact for agents and customers, train on ABL products, and support custom design requests using Product Configurator and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience or certifications.
• Solid understanding of internal ABL organization, industry specifics, and business strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations.
• 6–8 years’ customer service/support and/or sales experience.
• Experience collecting, accessing, and interpreting data to provide insights to customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Foster strong relationships and consistently deliver exceptional experiences; cultivate loyalty and trust.
• Leverage technical expertise and product knowledge to convert opportunities into orders.
• Collaborate with Sr. Specification Sales Manager to identify and nurture opportunities and grow project pipeline.
• Support creation of no-charge sample orders and ensure timely delivery of samples.
• Oversee specification registration processes and coordinate with agents to manage registrations and resolve conflicts.
• Provide specialized support: customize product/design requests using tools like Product Configurator and generate BOM/submittals as needed.
• Serve as a dedicated pre-sales contact to address all needs of agents and customers, ensuring seamless communication.
• Extensively train on ABL products to address feasibility inquiries and guide product selection.
• Cultivate customer relationships by building rapport, identifying challenges, and offering tailored solutions.
• Provide proactive insights to address obstacles and improve pre-sales processes through teamwork.
• Continuously improve by addressing evolving pre-sales needs and fostering collaboration.
