Job summary

Freudenberg Group is seeking an experienced engineer to develop engineered supply system solutions by reviewing customer specifications and preparing technical quotations. You will coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and internal teams to ensure feasibility, accuracy, and timely delivery while supporting API 682 and ANSI standards compliance.

The role requires interpreting P&IDs, GA drawings, and mechanical layouts, with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in application engineering, technical sales support, project engineering, supply systems, rotating equipment, or related industrial environment.
• Strong ability to interpret technical specifications and translate customer requirements into practical engineered solutions.
• Experience interpreting P&IDs, PFDs, GA drawings, instrumentation diagrams, and mechanical layout drawings.
• Working knowledge of seal supply systems, auxiliary systems, instrumentation, piping assemblies, and mechanical seal applications.
• Familiarity with API 682, ASME, ANSI, and other industry standards relevant to engineered supply systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, data, and requirements to develop engineered supply system solutions.
• Prepare technical quotations and proposal packages for standard and customized supply systems.
• Provide technical clarification and application support between customers, Sales, Engineering, and internal stakeholders.
• Support applications related to API 682 4th Edition, ANSI standards, Quick Ship programs, and Refill Cart offerings.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project scope, costing, delivery, and feasibility.
• Interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, isometrics, and instrumentation diagrams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to develop or refine 2D drawings, layouts, and technical documentation for proposals.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quotation quality, costing reliability, process efficiency, lead time accuracy, and mechanical seal application support.
