Job summary

Freudenberg, a global engineering leader, seeks an engineer to apply mechanical expertise across static and dynamic sealing solutions, including O-rings, in manufacturing settings. You will analyze warranty data and field performance to drive quality improvements.

You will design updates using CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX), collaborate with materials, tribology, CAE, and program management teams, and support customer programs and reviews with technical input.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years engineering experience in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and application documentation.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering expertise to support sealing solutions across static and dynamic applications, including O-rings and electrification/eMobility technologies.
• Analyze warranty data, field performance, and teardown findings to identify root causes and drive continuous quality improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal experts (materials, tribology, CAE, and program management) and external customers to solve technical challenges.
• Support customer programs and component reviews by providing technical input in program management meetings.
• Develop and update seal designs using 2D and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX) to meet application requirements.
• Lead or support problem-solving initiatives, including corrective actions, plant quality alignment, and VA/VE cost reduction projects.
• Act as a technical partner to assigned customers-promoting solutions, identifying conversion opportunities, and delivering product training and application expertise.
