Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to help developers integrate Stripe’s APIs and understand complex concepts. You will write clear guides, sample code, and tutorials across multiple languages, enabling a broad developer audience to build on Stripe.

You’ll interact with developers of all levels, unblock tough integration tasks, and contribute to both internal and external documentation. This role emphasizes teaching, rapid learning, and collaboration across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-stack software development experience delivering web or mobile applications.
• Experience explaining Stripe concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to write clean code in multiple languages and read unfamiliar code.
• Willingness to provide regional working hours support and occasional on-call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Explain technical concepts about Stripe’s products to developers.
• Build and debug integrations with developers across languages (e.g., Java, Python, Ruby, Go, NodeJS, etc.).
• Develop and maintain internal/external documentation, examples, and code-snippets demonstrating Stripe usage patterns.
• Unblock developers through multiple channels (email, tickets, forums, chat).
• Identify friction points and collaborate with engineering to improve Stripe products; participate in planning/design reviews.
• Develop and maintain internal tools (e.g., Copilot-like tooling) to support TSE and Stripe Support.
• Act as a developer advocate, assembling training for internal audiences and responding to questions in real time.
