Job summary

Netsmart Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Technical Solution Architect to apply domain knowledge and regulatory context to design workflows and support client outcomes.

The role acts as a trusted advisor, translating business needs into scalable solutions across clinical, operational, financial, and regulatory objectives. The role includes designing and maintaining enterprise reports within the Netsmart myAvatar NX platform using ActiveReports and ActiveReports.NET, leveraging SQL and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 4+ years of health care information technology implementation or consulting experience.
• 3+ years developing enterprise reports utilizing ActiveReports and/or ActiveReports.NET.
• 3+ years of SQL experience with joins, subqueries, aggregates, and data validation techniques.
• 1 year of project management experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical, clinical and operational teams.
• Ability to document and present architecture concepts, to provide a concise overview.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and deliver client-centric solutions.
• Ability to solve complex, high-volume information and problems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and maintain reports using ActiveReports and ActiveReports.NET based on documented business requirements.
• Add report functionality: grouping, sorting, filtering, parameters, calculated fields, conditional formatting, charts, subreports, exports.
• Provide client engagement expertise to deliver workflow and solution design to achieve defined benefits.
• Guide clients through workflows, upgrades, changes, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance.
• Serve as primary consultant for solution troubleshooting and knowledge transfer.
• Cultivate and sustain client relationships, escalating issues and providing engagement support.
• Resolve escalated problems using solution knowledge during installation, operation, or testing.
• Manage client expectations and ensure delivery meets engagement goals.
• Coach and mentor teams on methodology best practices.

The Techncial Solution Architectserves as a trusted advisor to clients, providing workflow consultation, solution design, system optimization, and reporting expertise to support clinical, operational, financial, and regulatory business objectives. This role partners with clients, application analysts, database teams, and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable solutions while guiding organizations through system enhancements, upgrades, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.

In addition to solution consulting responsibilities, the Solution Architect designs, develops, and maintains enterprise reports using ActiveReports and ActiveReports.NET, leveraging advanced SQL and data analysis skills to deliver accurate, actionable insights within the Netsmart myAvatar NX platform. The role is responsible for report development, testing, validation, performance optimization, documentation, and client knowledge transfer, ensuring reporting solutions support informed decision-making and maximize the value of the client's technology investment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and maintain reports utilizing ActiveReports and ActiveReports.NET based on documented business requirements.
• Develop report functionality such as grouping, sorting, filtering, parameters, calculated fields, conditional formatting, charts, subreports, and export capabilities.
• Provide expertise during client engagement to deliver workflow and solution design to achieve defined benefits.
• Responsible for guiding clients through current workflows, upgrades, system changes, enhancements, and ongoing system maintenance.
• Act as a primary consultant for the client's solution troubleshooting, consultation, and knowledge transfer
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients to provide appropriate escalation of issues, solution knowledge, and engagement support.
• Seek to resolve escalated problems and issues using solution knowledge and expertise during installation, operation, maintenance or testing.
• Manage client expectations and ensure project delivery meets goals of engagement.
• Coach, mentor and guide solution teams on recommended methodology practices

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
• At least 4 years of health care information technology implementation or consulting working experience
• At least 3 years of experience developing enterprise reports utilizing ActiveReports and/or ActiveReports.NET
• At least 3 years of experience writing Structured Query Language (SQL) queries including joins, subqueries, aggregate functions, and data validation techniques.
• At least 1 year of project management experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical, clinical and operational teams
• Ability to document and present architecture concepts, often narrowing complex ideas to a single overview
• Ability to build strong client relationships and delivering client-centric solutions
• Ability to make sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems

Preferred

• At least 2 years Netsmart EHR solution work experience

Expectations

• Travel expected up to 20% of the time as needed
• Position may at times require extended or irregular hours outside of traditional office hours to support clients and projects across multiple time zones and any required travel
