Northbrook Public Library seeks a Technical Services Processing Clerk

About the Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and collaborative Processing Clerk for our Technical Services Department. The ideal candidate will value attention to detail, enjoy working with their hands, and possess the ability to adapt quickly, provide feedback, and work independently. Flexible thinking is a key skill for success in this position.

The Technical Services Department is responsible for ordering, receiving, cataloging, and processing all new materials added to the library collection, with over 25,000 items added annually. The processing clerk plays an integral role by preparing materials for use by patrons.

Qualifications and Experience

Preferred library experience processing of books, audio visual items, board games, and other objects for circulation; knowledge of integrated library systems; experience with repairing library materials is a plus.
