Job summary

Systems, LLC., an affiliate of Chamberlain Group, is seeking a technical support specialist to assist customers with installation and setup of control systems and equipment at our Germantown location. You will troubleshoot issues, read blueprints and collaborate with engineering to implement improvements.

The role requires 2+ years in technical support, familiarity with ERP systems and IoT, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School diploma or GED or equivalent with 2+ years in a technical support role.
  • Experience with ERP software, databases, and basic IoT knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, manuals and technical bulletins.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers via telephone and email, resolving issues with equipment setup and installation.
  • Investigate and resolve production, installation and technical support issues related to control boxes, sensors, controllers and interconnective equipment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and other teams to design and implement future technology solutions and improvements.

With manufacturing facilities in Germantown, Wisconsin and Malvern, Arkansas, all products are designed and produced in the USA using lean manufacturing techniques. We strive to recruit the best talent in the industry and give employees opportunities for continuing education and training to help them advance in their careers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Provide technical support to customers over telephone and email, addressing and resolving questions and problems with equipment setup and install; escalate and track technical issues to the appropriate team member or company departments as required• Investigate and resolve production, installation and technical support issues related to Systems’ specialized control boxes and equipment, including sensors, controllers, and integrations• Troubleshoot, diagnose, track and resolve issues with Systems’ specialized control boxes and products, including sensors, controllers and interconnective equipment• Work collaboratively with team members, business partners and customers to define, design, develop and implement future technology solutions that resolve application issues and improve product functionality; communicate with the Engineering department on any technical issues with controls or other equipment• Offer assistance and support on the installation of Systems’ products• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.• Provide corrective actions for products under warranty according to policy procedures; create warranty claims and work with warranty coordinator as necessary• Assist senior tech service representatives on field visits as required• Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.• Protect Chamberlain Group’s and Systems’ reputation by keeping information confidential.Minimum Qualifications:Education/Certifications:• High School Diploma or GED EquivalentExperience:• 2+ years of related experience, or related technical education may serve in lieu of experienceKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Strong computer software skills and ability to use spreadsheets, databases, word processing applications, email, ERP System, IOT etc. daily with efficiency• Excellent communication skills- verbal, telephone, in-person and writtenPreferred QualificationsEducation/Certifications:• Technical school or associates degree controls aptitude and troubleshootingExperience:• Experience in a technical service environmentKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, manuals, bulletins and other specifications• Understanding of electronics, electrical field wiring and control wiringThe pay range for this position is $19.04 - $29.06/hr. Base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
