Chamberlain Group is seeking an experienced Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to lead problem solving and drive productivity improvements at our Germantown, WI facility.

The role focuses on implementing lean principles, sustaining quality systems, and coordinating NPD projects with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time production and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronic or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Green Belt Lean Manufacturing certification.
  • 12+ years of experience with supervisory experience.
  • Data collection and analysis with strong project management.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead problem solving related to major downtime, quality or safety issues by analyzing BOMs and drawings.
  • Lead NPD process and support schedules and timelines with lean principles.
  • Review SPC, PFMEA and other Quality System Tools and assign improvement tasks.
  • Approve designs, quotes, purchases of fixtures, tools, and processes to support NPD and productivity.
  • Define standards for industrial engineering processes and audit layouts and time studies.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering to troubleshoot issues and drive improvements.
  • Lead training and development plans for manufacturing engineering and maintenance teams.

We strive to recruit the best talent in the industry and give employees opportunities for continuing education and training to help them advance in their careers..Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead problem solving activities related to major downtime, quality or safety issues by analyzing BOMs, interpreting drawings, engineering specifications and can consult ERP basic transactions to support production in engineering related problems and for continuous improvements and KPIsLead process implementation activities for NPD projects and supports schedules and timelines considering layout strategy, lean manufacturing principles and six sigma guidelines for successful implementationReview Quality System Tools and procedures including SPC, PFMEA, and assigns activities to improve Operational KPIs and/or solve quality related problems. Audits work instructions and Chamberlain Manufacturing System documentationApprove of Designs, Quotes, Purchases of fixtures, tools, workstation improvements, equipment, and processes, etc. to Support NPD, Productivity, new processes and continuous improvement, CQPs and PPAPsIdentify opportunity areas and advises the application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and principles to different areas or plantwide projects to improve manufacturing, material flow and process overall performanceDefine standards and manages information regarding Industrial engineering process information like Time Study, Standard Work, Capacity, Line Balancing; create, update and audit process layout when changes are being implementedAssist in the development and help own capital plan; Prepares annual department budgetManages and executes the automation roadmapDevelop productivity pipeline and ensure annual productivity targets are achievedCollaborate closely with Product Engineering to proactively troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement effective, timely solutions that support production continuity and continuous improvementEnable and schedule brainstorming sessions for ideas and follow-up on implementation of productivity projects related to labor, overhead and material through engineering tools, process automation opportunities, relay outs, capacity increases, engineering changes, etc.Audit and train engineers to support and elaborate Operational Safety Risks, Job Safety Analysis (ASTs) and Safety Practices for the manufacturing processes and resolves major risk points to reduce operational risk; Reviews Ergonomic guidelines and validates layout and workstations to comply with ergonomic standardsLead and follow up on projects and review proper management regarding schedule, constraints and resources to meet target implementation dates for assigned projects; collaborate with a cross-functional leadership teamManage training and skill-related development plans for manufacturing engineering and maintenance team to achieve KPIs and develop individual and team performanceManage, coach and mentor team on application of engineering and maintenance methods and processesBudgets and Calculates manufacturing engineering and maintenance staffing to meet to KPI's, annual goals, new products schedules, productivity goals and support other projects in the area roadmapCollaborate with facilities engineering utility systems, equipment, heating, air conditioning, ventilating, refrigeration systems, fire protection and security systems to make sure they are properly designed, operated and maintainedComply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.Protect Chamberlain Group’s and Multi-Fab’s reputation by keeping information confidential.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.Supervision ExercisedMotivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team membersDrive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policiesMaintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communicationsLead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the Chamberlain Group mission, vision and values.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronic or Mechanic EngineeringGreen BeltLean Manufacturing Certification12+ years of experiencePrior supervisory experienceData collection and analysis skillsProject management skillsWorking Knowledge and Application of Lean Manufacturing, DFM, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Total Cost of OwnershipAbility to work in an environment that embraces cross-functional collaborative team driven resultsAbility to effectively communicate in group settings to provide a simple concise messageDemonstrated proficient interpersonal, listening and negotiation skillsQuickly learn and have the ability to teach complicated concepts to others and engage all levels of the organizationAdvanced English proficiency#INDMFG1#LI-JE1#LI-onsiteThe pay range for this position is $72,300.00 - $116,775.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
