Job summary

Chamberlain Group, including Systems, LLC, seeks a technical support specialist to assist customers with installation and troubleshooting. You will work on control boxes, sensors, and integrations, resolving issues remotely and on-site as needed.

The role requires 2+ years in a technical environment, strong electronics and software skills, and the ability to read schematics. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years in technical support or related field.
  • Proficient with software tools and basic electronics knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers by phone and email on setup and install; escalate as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to control boxes, sensors, controllers and integrations.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and track product issues including interconnective equipment.
  • Collaborate with teams to design and implement future technology solutions and communicate with Engineering.
  • Assist with product installation and maintain professional knowledge through training.
  • Handle warranty actions and warranty claims with coordination.
  • Support field visits with senior technicians; ensure health and safety compliance.
  • Protect company reputation by confidentiality; adhere to policies.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to customers over telephone and email, addressing and resolving questions and problems with equipment setup and install; elevate and track technical issues to the appropriate team member or company departments as required
  • Investigate and resolve production, installation and technical support issues related to Systems’ specialized control boxes and equipment, including sensors, controllers, and integrations
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, track and resolve issues with Systems’ specialized control boxes and products, including sensors, controllers and interconnective equipment
  • Work collaboratively with team members, business partners and customers to define, design, develop and implement future technology solutions that resolve application issues and improve product functionality; communicate with the Engineering department on any technical issues with controls or other equipment
  • Offer assistance and support on the installation of Systems’ products
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Provide corrective actions for products under warranty according to policy procedures; create warranty claims and work with warranty coordinator as necessary
  • Assist senior tech service representatives on field visits as required
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group’s and Systems’ reputation by keeping information confidential.
Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Experience:

  • 2+ years of related experience, or related technical education may serve in lieu of experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong computer software skills and ability to use spreadsheets, databases, word processing applications, email, ERP System, IOT etc. daily with efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills- verbal, telephone, in-person and written
Preferred Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

  • Technical school or associates degree controls aptitude and troubleshooting

Experience:

  • Experience in a technical service environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, manuals, bulletins and other specifications
  • Understanding of electronics, electrical field wiring and control wiring
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.04 - $29.06/hr. Base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.

In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).

This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
