CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CLASS: The Technical Service Manager is an integral member of the Technical and Service Teams. This individual will represent Preat Corporation to dental industry and health care professionals, thought leaders including Key Opinion Leaders, Academia-Dental Schools, Strategic Dental accounts, and Industry Associations.

This is a leadership position that will be responsible for managing the Technical Service Team and use dental technology experience to advise and support the commercial and service teams of Preat Corporation. This role will also be responsible for internal technical training of Preat Teams, creating supporting educational and product content for Marketing Team, and providing continuing education to Dental Laboratory Technicians, Clinicians, and Clinical Team Members. This position reports to the General Manager – Preat Corporation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Manage daily activities on projects (as necessary) of Technical Service Team.
  • Develop and continue to expand the knowledge of Technical Service Team.
  • Foster a positive, high-performance team culture through effective coaching, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent to support business growth and team effectiveness.
  • Lead with intention by addressing challenges, resolving issues, and creating opportunities for team members to contribute meaningfully.
  • Provide training to Technical Team on product use and technical challenges experienced clinically and in the dental laboratory
  • Provide support to the Customer Service Manager and Field Service Technicians when Accounts need high level support
  • Provide training and troubleshooting for all digital workflows with expertise in all systems including 3shape and Exocad
  • Provide training to distribution partners, including service, sales, and product teams.
  • Develop continuing education content and courses that are approved by YI Education Team.
  • Provide continuing education to Dental Lab and Clinical partners on Preat products, digital workflows, implant restorations and any other current and relevant Dental Technology topics.
  • Provide clinical and laboratory perspective to R & D & New Product Development teams.
  • Represent company at select trade shows/events as needed

  • Any additional duties assigned by supervisor and/or manager.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Training and Experience

  • Certified Dental Technician or clinically related degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Technician, Technical Service, or educator related role.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Implant Restorations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current digital technologies and workflows
  • Effective public speaker and educator
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communicative skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Working Conditions

Office environment and occasional exposure to manufacturing plant environment, with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust and atmospheric conditions.

Must be able to travel a minimum of 50% of the time.

Pay Range: $X - $X.

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position at the time of posting. Within the range, the compensation will be determined based on education/training, skill set, experience, and other organizational needs.
