Job summary

Westlake is seeking a skilled technical professional to provide comprehensive support to production teams, sales, and customers. You will resolve product quality issues, maintain specifications, and evaluate new resins while preparing documentation such as data sheets and resin guides.

You will collaborate with Sales and Marketing to introduce new products, provide customer start-up training, and represent Westlake in industry associations.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) with relevant industry experience.
• 5 years of experience with polyolefins in technical service, production, quality control, or R&D.
• Extrusion coating or LLDPE grades experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to plant operations, addressing quality concerns and maintaining product specs.
• Evaluate commercial and experimental resins, audit competitors, and propose improvements or new products.
• Collaborate with Sales/Marketing to launch new products and provide customer start-up assistance.
• Prepare data sheets, resin guides, and summarize market trends and technical issues.
