Job summary

Medata Inc. in Kentucky seeks a Team Lead-Technical Scrum to drive agile delivery for one or more Scrum teams, bridging Product Managers, Business Analysts, and engineers.

This role runs effective ceremonies, maintains backlog readiness, and proactively removes blockers to ensure high-quality delivery. You will partner with engineering leads to surface technical risks, dependencies, and trade-offs, coordinating across teams to maintain velocity and predictability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years as Scrum Master, Scrum Leader, or technical delivery lead.
• Able to engage credibly with engineering teams on software development practices.
• Proficient with agile tooling (Jira, Confluence, Tempo, Azure DevOps).
• Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospectives for one or more Scrum teams.
• Ensure ceremonies are effective, time-boxed, and action-oriented.
• Maintain backlog readiness with Product Owners and Business Analysts.
• Act as the single source of priority for the team and resolve unclear directives.
• Partner with engineering leads to understand dependencies, architecture constraints, and technical debt.
• Translate technical risks into actionable items for stakeholders.
• Support refinement, ensuring clear acceptance criteria and DoD.
• Coordinate UAT and cross-team dependencies.
