Role: Technical Sales Systems Specialist

Location: Cranberry Township, PA

Job Overview

The Technical Sales Systems Specialist prepares commercial proposals for Conair's "Engineered Systems," which are complex and require technical expertise. This involves analyzing customer data to determine suitable system design and equipment selection, collaborating with sales, engineering, product managers, and customers. The role ensures the integrity of system design and pricing, reporting to the Sr. Director – Sales Operations in Cranberry Township, PA.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage sales opportunities and activities, planning strategies with sales and product managers.
  2. Interpret technical requirements from application data, possibly communicating directly with customers.
  3. Develop design specifications aligned with project goals, supporting all development phases with technical data.
  4. Collaborate with the sales team to analyze inquiries and develop effective proposals.
  5. Coordinate with internal and external resources to support proposal development and delivery.
  6. Assist Regional Managers in sales planning for "Engineered Systems."
  7. Travel as needed for sales support, data collection, presentations, and trade shows.
  8. Communicate with customers and internal teams via phone and software tools like CRM, CPQ, ERP.
  9. Ensure proper order processing to meet customer requirements, focusing on quality and accuracy.
  10. Cross-sell and expand equipment portfolios with existing customers.
  11. Communicate Conair features and develop industry knowledge in plastics processing.
  12. Apply Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions to address issues.
  13. Handle incoming sales calls and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or 5+ years relevant experience.
  2. 3+ years of relevant experience expected.
  3. Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Salesforce, CPQ, SAP is a plus.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to analyze and interpret technical and business information.
  5. Ability to recommend procedural improvements and respond effectively to situations.
  6. Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and customer service orientation.
  7. Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  9. Ability to develop action plans and maintain constructive relationships.
