Technical Sales Representative (Commercial Laundry)

Washing Systems, LLC (WSI), now part of the Kao family, seeks a highly self-motivated Technical Sales Representative (TSR) to join our team. WSI is the largest supplier of commercial laundry detergents in North America, providing high-quality commercial laundry and chemical products to uniform and linen rental companies. This role involves working remotely and on client sites within your territory, providing technical solutions, developing sales opportunities through data analysis, and building long-term relationships with management at customer sites.

The ideal candidate has strong technical or mechanical acumen, prior field service experience, excellent technological skills, and strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

  1. Promote and sell the full product line to existing customers
  2. Develop prospect lists, establish relationships, and acquire new customers
  3. Maintain appropriate sales coverage within your territory
  4. Provide service, maintenance, and communication for 6–10 accounts
  5. Install and program WSI chemical dosing equipment
  6. Plan and execute new installations or conversions
  7. Maintain all provided equipment in working condition
  8. Operate within the assigned expense budget
  9. Collect past due accounts receivable where applicable
  10. Eliminate rush orders of products
  11. Submit reports timely

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Mechanical, or related field plus 1-2 years’ industry experience, or equivalent
  • Military background a plus
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and mechanical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet tools
  • Ability to work quickly, accurately, and handle a fast-paced environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
