Job Description

Are you an accomplished Technical Sales Professional in the process industry seeking to elevate your career? If so, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Houston, TX, you will be responsible for driving level instrumentation sales across the Houston Ship Channel Region. As a vital member of our team, you will partner with customers to make the world healthier, safer, and balanced. This is a remote, field-based position located within the territory.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Drive highly accelerated growth of our level instrumentation in the territory
  • Deliver sales solutions both independently and collaboratively, working seamlessly across teams to achieve success
  • Act as a Strategic Partner to current and prospective customers, understanding their business needs and recommending solutions to grow level sales
  • Use proven sales strategies and CRM tools to promote and sell the company's value
  • Conduct territory analysis and strategic planning to identify opportunities
  • Pursue and secure major project business, demonstrating strong deal-closing abilities
Who You Are

You relate comfortably across levels, functions, cultures, and geographies. You analyze diverse information sources, distinguish relevant from irrelevant, and define problems accurately before solving. You maintain a positive, forward-thinking demeanor despite setbacks. You negotiate strategically, responding efficiently to others' reactions to win concessions while maintaining relationships. You have a passion for pursuing new opportunities and a drive to excel. Industry experience with level instrumentation and chemical background is preferred.

For This Role, You Will Need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience relevant to our products or industry
  • At least 3 years of technical sales experience in automation
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Self-starter with limited supervision
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% within the territory, with occasional overnight stays
  • Ability to travel outside the territory for training and meetings
  • Legal authorization to work in the US (sponsorship not available)
