Job summary

Global Compression Services LLC Weatherford, TX is seeking a Technical Sales Rep to grow our route sales business. This outside sales role focuses on calling on business and industrial customers, arranging a delivery route, and generating orders.

You will work with the Branch Manager, deliver and pickup products, and support customer needs while traveling up to 50% of the time. A bachelor's degree and practical sales experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• 1–3 years outside sales experience with industrial engine accessory equipment.
• Electrical or mechanical background a plus.
• Moderate computer skills including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

The Route Sales position sells products for manufacturer or distributor to business and industrial establishments or individuals. This position is classified as an “outside sales” position; the position’s primary duty is to obtain orders/contracts for products or services; employees are customarily and regularly engaged away from GCS’ place of business.

• Develop and implement a plan in conjunction with the Branch Manager to call on all customers existing and new in a defined geographic territory.
• Generate effective route schedule.
• Drive the determined route and perform delivery and pickup service.
• Work closely with Technical Sales Representative to support customer needs.

Requirements:

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to three years’ experience in outside sales with industrial engine accessory equipment. Electrical or mechanical background a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Moderate computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiar with web navigation, experience working with databases.
