Job description

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Representing the company as the primary customer interface for Multimatic’s Global Manufacturing and Engineering centers.
  2. Exchanging commercial information and building relationships within the company and with customers, establishing a reliable local presence.
  3. Initiating and leading commercial discussions and quote proposals.
  4. Pursuing new business opportunities with customers, market segments, and products aligned with company needs.
  5. Leading quoting efforts for negotiations and providing necessary information for responses.
  6. Participating in customer meetings as a liaison, directly interfacing with customers and representing the manufacturing division to meet requests and objectives.
  7. Engaging in open issues meetings with global manufacturing facilities, engineering centers, and automotive manufacturers.
  8. Developing customer technical review presentations for new business opportunities, ongoing projects, and high-level management reviews.
  9. Supporting discussions to determine strategic directions to enhance profitability and operational proficiency of Multimatic.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company as the key customer interface for Multimatic’s Global Manufacturing and Engineering centers.
  • Exchange commercial information and build relationships within the company and its customers as a reliable local presence.
  • Initiate and lead commercial discussions and quote proposals.
  • Pursue new business opportunities with customers, market segments, and products that satisfy the needs of the company.
  • Lead the quoting efforts for commercial negotiations and provide information required to develop responses.
  • Attend customer meetings as a liaison directly interfacing with customers and representing the manufacturing division to meet requests and objectives.
  • Participate in open issues meetings with the company’s global manufacturing facilities, engineering centers, and automotive manufacturers.
  • Lead the development of customer technical review presentations for new business opportunities, ongoing business, and high-level management reviews.
  • Identify and proactively support discussions to determine strategic directions to enhance profitability and proficiency of Multimatic.

Position Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited University is required.
  • Automotive Industry experience (10+ years) in technical sales at a Tier-1 supplier or equivalent.
  • An understanding of OEM processes, systems, and products.
  • Experience with Automotive Mechanism systems.
  • Experience with engineering disciplines such as GD&T, DFMEA, PPAP/PSW, QOS, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; CAD skills are beneficial.
  • A solutions-based customer relations approach with clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and valid documentation to travel internationally for customer visits, engineering reviews, manufacturing site visits, and launch activities.
  • Passion, entrepreneurial mindset, and perseverance/GRIT.

Our Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Up to 10% travel, both local and international.
  • Work may involve sitting or standing for most of the day.
  • May require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials infrequently.
