Job summary

Trane Technologies invites engineering students to join a 12-week Summer internship in Technical Sales across North America. You will build technical, business, sales engineering, leadership, and communication skills while exploring a career in sales for HVAC systems and building automation.

You will collaborate with industry leaders, gain insights into design, application, and sale of systems, and have opportunities to join our Graduate Training Program after graduation.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering throughout the entire duration of the internship.
• Sophomore year completion required before the start of the internship.
• U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Learn about the design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions, and customer meetings with experienced account managers.
• Work directly with Sales Account Managers and customers to understand project workflows.
• Gain hands-on exposure to the steps sales engineers take from start to finish on a job during the internship.
• Develop relationships with customers as a daily point-of-contact to support solution development.
