Job summary

Ingredion is seeking a Technical Sales Representative Intern to join our Virtual Sales Team. You will interact with small to medium customers, recommending ingredients for food and beverage applications, while supporting prospecting, CRM, and pipeline activities.

The role offers hands-on experience in business development, customer engagement, and sales strategy within a fast-paced sales environment. Ideal for a student pursuing a related degree with strong organizational and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food or Chemical Engineering, or related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 is preferred.
• Must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
• Ability to work 40 hrs per week during the summer internship term.

Responsibilities

• Manage customers directly and develop new opportunities across our portfolio (starches, plant-based proteins, sugar-reduction solutions, hydrocolloids).
• Join a large team with on-the-job training and exposure to field Sales, Technical Service, R&D, and Customer Service.
