Job summary

Ingredion is seeking a Technical Sales Representative Intern to join our Virtual Sales Team. You will interact with small and medium customers, offering ingredient recommendations for food & beverage applications while supporting prospecting, CRM management, and pipeline tracking.

Ideal candidates are organized, analytical, and eager to learn about sales, customer management, and revenue generation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food or Chemical Engineering or related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Must have completed at least two years of coursework with sophomore/junior/non-graduating senior status.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer internship term.
• Experience with hands-on food concept development with lab or pilot plant equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of food processes and ingredient functionality is preferred.
• Excellent planning, detail orientation and multitasking abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to the facility daily.
• US work authorization without visa sponsorship.

• Manage customers directly and develop new opportunities across the portfolio.
• Support the sales team with prospecting, account research and CRM tasks.
• Assist with pipeline tracking and sales operations activities.
