Job summary

Trane Technologies invites you to join a hands-on Technical Sales Internship across North America. You will collaborate with Sales Account Managers and customers to learn the design, application, and sale of HVAC systems and building automation solutions.

The 12-week program focuses on developing technical, business, leadership, and communication skills, with exposure to equipment, service, and building automation offerings, and potential entry to the Graduate Training Program after graduation.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, information systems, or engineering.
• U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
• Passion for continuous learning in technical fields.
• Some positions may be remote while others may require hybrid or onsite assignment across North America.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, ability to provide proof of insurance, and have no major traffic violations in the previous 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with our Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions, sales and service calls, customer meetings with experienced account managers and mentors.
• Understand the steps sales engineers take from start to finish on a job and be hands-on in those steps during the internship.
• Build relationships with customers as a daily point-of-contact and contribute to solution-making.
