Job summary

Grand Valley Manufacturing Co. in Titusville, PA, is seeking a Sales and Estimating professional who will prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates while serving as the primary contact for customers throughout quoting and order fulfillment.

You will collaborate with customers to gather blueprints and specifications, analyze drawings and CAD models, and coordinate with internal departments to ensure on-time delivery and profitable growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years’ relevant experience in machining or estimating in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of CNC milling, turning, multi-axis machining, and machining processes.
• Able to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, proposal documents.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer enquiries for manufacturing fit and profitability.
• Collaborate with customers to collect blueprints and specifications for estimates.
• Analyze drawings, CAD models to identify materials, dimensions, tolerances, and finishing requirements.
• Obtain pricing from vendors for materials, coatings, heat treating, plating, and subcontracted services.
• Prepare timely, accurate quotations maintaining target margins.
• Collaborate with plant managers and engineering to recommend cost-effective methods.
• Maintain estimating databases, standard costs, labor rates, and pricing models.
• Support contract negotiations and quote review meetings.
• Provide technical expertise to customers explaining estimates and capabilities.
• Coordinate communication between customers and internal departments to resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to expand accounts and generate new business.
