Job summary

GS Engineering, a division of Standex Engraving, seeks a Technical Sales Specialist to grow sales, forge new and positive customer relationships, and advance through performance and development. You will lead customer programs, establish standards, manage project schedules, maintain SAP portal data, and coordinate cross-functional resources for tool trials and launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 2–4 years’ experience in technical customer service or customer-facing technical roles.
• 2+ years experience with thermoplastic forming, surface texturing, or decorative film integration processes (IMG or Male Vacuum forming) preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Project, MS Office, web-based apps and Slack; strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer programs with a focus on exceeding expectations and delivering a best-in-class project experience.
• Establish and improve standards, processes, and best practices for customer experience.
• Manage and track project schedules, ensuring timely execution and proactive communication of approvals, risks, issues, and requirements.
• Maintain program tracking data in the SAP portal and other systems for real-time visibility.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources for tool trials, including shipments, process development, and addressing customer feedback.
• Support on-site tool launches and coordinate internal teams to ensure successful execution.
• Prepare quotes for service work and spare parts aligned with program requirements.
• Plan and support customer training on tools, processes, and maintenance.
• Define and maintain tool documentation, maintenance manuals, and spare parts lists to accompany each release.
