IBM is offering a 16-week Technical Sales Engineer Co-Op for actively enrolled students. You will engage in discovery sessions, design solution approaches, and deliver demonstrations across IBM software, AI, cloud, and security domains.

The role emphasizes collaboration with sales, technical specialists, and customer success teams to drive client value. The program targets undergraduates or graduates graduating between Dec 2027 and Aug 2028, with full-time work availability during Fall 2026.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled: registered undergraduate or graduate student.
• Seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed by start date in CS, software engineering, computer engineering, data science, cybersecurity, mathematics, engineering, or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of cloud computing, software development, AI, automation, data, or cybersecurity.
• Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or similar.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to prototype, build, or troubleshoot applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and passion for technology and client success.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client discovery sessions to understand objectives and requirements.
• Design and validate technical solution approaches addressing customer challenges.
• Build and deliver demonstrations, proofs of concept, workshops, and technical presentations.
• Translate technical concepts into clear business value for stakeholders.
• Support customer adoption, expansion, and success with use case definitions.
