AMOT Controls Corp. in Houston is seeking a Technical Sales Consultant to serve as the technical lead for the Americas sales organization, engaging engineers, operators, and executives with deep product and application knowledge to advance complex opportunities.
Travel is up to 30–50% and you will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Service to deliver practical AMOT solutions and build trusted customer relationships.
Support Marketing by developing technical content that strengthens AMOT's market presence and educates customers.
Document all customer engagements within the company's CRM systems by recording:
Customer Focus: Develop trusted relationships by understanding customer applications,anticipatingtechnical needs, and delivering practical solutions that create confidence in AMOT's products and services.
Problem Solving: Analyze complex customer applications,identifytechnical challenges, and develop practical, customer-focused solutions through collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, and Sales.
Time Management: Effectively prioritize customer requests, proposal support, technical projects, travel, and internal responsibilities while consistently meeting deadlines andmaintainingresponsiveness.
Teamwork: Work collaboratively across Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve businessobjectives.
Performance in this role will be evaluated using a combination of qualitative and quantitative measures. Success is based not only on technicalexpertisebut also on the ability to influence sales opportunities, support customers, collaborate across departments, and contribute to the overall success of the Americas Sales organization.

A successful Technical Sales Consultant is recognized as the technical leader within the Americas Sales organization. They proactively lead technical discussions, build customer confidence, and help Regional Sales Managers win technically complex opportunities. They take ownership of their own development by continuously expanding their knowledge ofAMOT products, engines, turbines, customer applications, and industry trends while actively partnering with Engineering and Product Management to deepen theirexpertise.
They consistently document customer interactions within the CRM, contribute meaningful technical content to Marketing, support internal training initiatives, and serve as a trusted technical advisor for both customers and the sales organization. Through strong technical leadership, collaboration, and a customer-focused mindset, they help drive profitable growth and strengthen AMOT's reputation as a trusted solutions provider.

Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field.
Experience using CRM platforms, including Pipedrive and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Experience supporting industrial equipment, rotating equipment, valves, controls, engines, turbines, power generation equipment, or process systems.
