Job summary

Dovre Solutions is seeking an experienced offshore safety engineer to perform detailed design and modification tasks on safety systems for major projects in Norway. The role includes coordinating safety disciplines, performing IDC verifications, and guiding risk activities such as HAZID, WEHRA and design reviews, while ensuring compliance with Ptil, ISO and NORSOK standards.

We require 5–10 years of offshore design experience and a Master or Bachelor in technical safety; English and Norwegian

Qualifications

• Master or bachelor in technical safety or related discipline; relevant work experience can compensate.
• 5–10 years offshore design and modification experience in Norway.
• Strong knowledge of Ptil requirements and ISO/NORSOK standards.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Norwegian language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design and modification tasks on safety systems.

• Perform detailed design and modification tasks on safety systems in projects
• Passive Fire Protection, PFP
• Active Fire Protection, AFP
• Area Classification and Ignition Source Control
• Fire and Gas Detection
• Escape, Evacuation and Rescue, EER
• Safety Integrity Level, SIL
• Definition of fluid groups, PED
• Working Environment Engineering
• Environmental Care Engineering
• Interdisciplinary coordination, checks, IDC, and verifications.
• Perform work tasks according to the company’s and the clients governing documentation.
• Give concise input regarding cost and plan activities for safety aspects of the project.
• Identify and facilitate required risk and verification activities e.g. HAZID, WEHRA and design reviews.
• Follow-up of client, vendors and 3rd Parties.
• Support and follow-up of engineers.
• Work actively for a good professional and social environment in the group.
• Contribute actively to the process of continuous improvement and experience transfer.

Requirements

Required Education:

• Master/Bachelor degree in technical safety or other related disciplines. Relevant work experience can compensate for educational level.

Required Work Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience within offshore design and modification work in Norway. Experience should give capability of working independently on the V&M projects while collaborating effectively with stakeholders Knowledge of Ptil requirements, ISO- and NORSOK standards.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to show a high degree of self-learning skills.
• Excellent Norwegian and English writing and speaking skills.
• Good communication capabilities. Awareness of Ptil requirements, ISO- and NORSOK standards.
