Job summary

Odfjell Technology in New Jersey seeks an experienced Technical Safety Engineer to strengthen our team. You will support safe design and operation of complex projects by conducting safety studies, supporting risk assessments, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include fire and gas safety, shutdown philosophy, barrier management, and facilitating HAZID/HAZOP studies, design reviews, and project execution within Technical Safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree within Technical Safety or similar.
• Relevant experience within Technical Safety can compensate for lack of higher education.

Responsibilities

• Fire and gas safety (active and passive fire protection, detection, area classification etc.).
• Shutdown philosophy.
• Barrier management in relation to safety strategies and/or performance standards.
• Facilitate risk assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP, Change & Constructability analysis, Design Review analysis etc.
• Studies and project execution within Technical Safety.
• Technical work environment.
• Design reviews and specifications.
