BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as a Risk Engineer that can be filled as an Engineer I, Engineer II or Sr Engineer at our White Oaks general office location in Bridgeport, WV. Level filled is commensurate upon experience and current location. As a Risk Management Engineer, you should be fully competent in all conventional aspects of Fire Protection Engineering and Property Loss Prevention consulting at natural gas extraction plants, natural gas pipeline facilities, LNG import/export facilities, commercial facilities and office buildings. The position will perform and/or review fire protection engineering calculations, analysis, research, and design. The position will also provide risk reduction recommendations and associated cost estimates (e.g. cost for equipment installation/upgrade) for management review. Under direction of supervisor or work leader, the individual will exercise independence in evaluating, selecting, and applying loss control and fire protection standards or well-defined fire protection engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Independent judgment will be used in prioritizing and making moderately complex adaptations and modifications. The application of fire protection engineering principles, industry standards and other guidance to develop risk reduction solutions is critical to this role.
