Job summary

ruralmetrofire is seeking a Rescue Technician to join the technical rescue standby team. The role involves set-up, rigging, atmospheric monitoring and entering confined spaces to provide life safety and EMS services to victims.

Responsibilities include executing rescue tactics, operating rescue tools safely, maintaining equipment, and performing pre-rescue tasks. Requires physical fitness and ongoing training in emergency medical procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Card.
• Clean Driver’s Record.
• CPR with AED.

Responsibilities

• Implement technical rescue skills and operate equipment to complete the rescue operation as per the incident plan.
• Perform rescue operations under supervision and provide progress reports as needed.
• Apply rescue tactics including rope, confined space, high/low angle rescues and victim extrication.
• Maintain and safely operate rescue tools, equipment, PPE and vehicle systems.
• Maintain station grounds and equipment in clean, orderly condition.
