Job summary

Total Safety is seeking a Rescue Technician to provide technical rescue standby for customer projects, including confined space rescue and technical rope rescue. The role involves risk assessment, prepping rescue gear, and planning safe methods in line with client standards.

In emergencies, you will locate, assess, extricate, and hand off to EMS, while providing First Aid/CPR as trained. You will work in a mix of office and field environments with travel to customer sites, and ensure equipment

Qualifications

• 40 Hour Rescue Technician certification with >6 months experience.
• Confined Space Entrant/Attendant Certification.
• Healthcare Provider CPR and First Aid with AED.
• First Responder level or better preferred.
• 4 Gas Monitor Operation Training.
• Familiar with OSHA Atmosphere Limitation.
• Proven proficiency in rescue operations.
• Ability to inspect and maintain rescue equipment.

Responsibilities

• Draft a Confined Space Rescue Preplan and a Rescue Safety Analysis (RSA).
• Identify hazards and communicate controls to all affected parties.
• Ensure required safety equipment and PPE is readily available and in good working order.
• Conduct daily job briefings with customers and workers.
• Monitor job conditions and equipment resources; report to supervisor.
• Complete daily ICs (Incident Command System) reports.
• Renders first aid and CPR to the level of training.
• Maintain and inventory all rescue equipment.
